“I don’t know, I sort of like the idea of paper flower arrangements,” Blaine says, flipping through one of the wedding magazines next to Kurt. “It would probably be a hell of a lot cheaper, too.”
“Or we could make them out of gum wrappers,” Kurt teases, but when Blaine looks up Kurt is smiling at him, heat creeping into his face, and Blaine smiles back, his eyes big and warm. Kurt strokes over his knuckles absently, thinking maybe he’ll wear the ring tomorrow. It always makes Blaine smile when he catches Kurt wearing it.
“Yeah, well,” Blaine says, clearing his throat when his voice comes out scratchy. “I just think we should budget efficiently. If we save up we can do something huge for our honeymoon.”
Kurt snorts at the innuendo, his hand flying up to his face when Blaine raises his eyebrows at him. Kurt is definitely blushing now, but Blaine just looks amused. “I’m just saying that thinking about boring things like saving money ruins the fun of wedding planning,” Kurt says, settling down on the bed next to Blaine. “I’ve never let budgets hold me back and I’ve been planning weddings since I was five.”
“I know you have,” Blaine says, leaning up to give Kurt a quick kiss before sinking back down on the bed. “What do you think of Paris?”

“Uh, Kurt?” Blaine asks loudly outside the door, and Kurt hears a dull thud that can only be Blaine kicking at it instead of knocking. Only a little wary, Kurt opens the door to find Blaine drenched, holding his coat closed around his chest for some reason as he shuffles inside.
“Sorry, I’m wet, sorry,” Blaine mumbles, but Kurt just rolls his eyes and darts away to grab a towel from the bathroom right down the hall. It isn’t the first time Blaine’s come home soaked from the rain, but usually he’s so busy fussing over the state of his hair that he barely even notices Kurt.
When Kurt walks back down the hall, though, Blaine’s still standing where he was before, fidgeting with his coat.
“Couldn’t beat the rain, huh?” Kurt asks softly, reaching out to rub over Blaine’s arms with the towel, and Blaine gives Kurt a sheepish look.
“I sort of got… distracted,” Blaine says carefully.

Author’s Notes: For Kurbastian Week 2012, Day 2! The prompt was “first times.” This is actually in the same ‘verse as the fic I wrote for yesterday’s prompt, which is called All in the Family. It’s not necessary to read that at all to understand this, but if you are interested, this takes place about three years before that one. My plan is to do a few more fics this week, and all of them except AU day will be in this ‘verse (if I manage to finish them, I honestly can’t even believe I’ve gotten two out already).
